Hello Husker faithful, I had an idea for a (maybe bi-weekly?) check-in on how fans feel about the performance of our assistant coaches. I have made a form that you can complete that will give me an idea of where everyone stands on every major assistant coach in the program. I will then complete a write up later in the week revealing the tiers and diving a bit deeper into each position group’s performances. If you wanna skip my explanation of the tiers and get to voting you can stop reading now.
For the rest of you here is how I broke it down.
Elite: Could be a great assistant anywhere, possible promotion candidate in the off season, position group could stick with anyone in the nation.
Solid: Position group is playing well, making few mistakes, and is actively contributing to winning.
Getting Weary: Things look questionable. Not quite to the point of wanting to fire the coach yet, but need to see some improvement. Position group is not playing up to their talent level, not actively contributing to losing, but still not impressing.
Hot Seat: Turn it around fast or you are not much longer in this program. Consistently under performing, mistakes are being made that are actively hamstringing the team, your position group looks like they are not fundamentally sound.
Tarmac: Why are you still on staff? Your continued presence is an active agitation and your position group seems beyond fixing this year.
I’ll stop taking votes on Tuesday and try to write up each coach by Wednesday or Thursday. Happy voting Husker Nation.
