All-purpose athlete Jeremiah Jones commits to Nebraska

The Nebraska football team started July off with another three-star commitment. All-purpose athlete Jeremiah Jones announced on Monday afternoon he is coming to Lincoln.

Jones made his commitment following a visit to campus in June, which included a fishing trip with legendary Nebraska head coach Tom Osborne. Jones says he chose Nebraska because of how the Huskers kept strong connections with him throughout the recruiting process.

From Day 1, the effort that they put in to stay in touch with me was crucial. They didn’t just say it, they showed why they believed in me as a player. The whole defensive staff came to see me. They just showed me constant love. Nebraska is where I want to spend my college career and grow as a student-athlete.

Jones is entering his senior year at Murray High School in Murray, Kentucky, following a versatile junior season. The three-star athlete plays both sides of the ball for the Tigers and nearly every core group.

Jones, as a junior, caught 22 passes for 326 yards, completed 54 passes for 643 yards, rushed the ball 62 times for 326 yards, and scored six total touchdowns. On defense, he totaled 140 tackles and seven interceptions over the last two seasons.

Jones is listed at 6-feet-5, 215 pounds. He chose Nebraska over Kentucky, Louisville,, and Florida State. He represents Nebraska’s 14th commitment in its 2025 recruiting class, which is ranked in the top 40 nationally.
