Adrian Martinez Stats

Myself and plenty others have criticized Adrian plenty over the years and then had to go back and forth on our feelings because of his inexplicable inconsistency. After the first half of illinois I was ready to see Smothers but since that moment Adrian has played basically lights out for 14 quarters which feels like his most consistent run in his career. But anyway I thought yesterday was a massive test and he passed with flying colors all things considered.

 

After 4 weeks of play Adrian has 9 TDs (5P 4R ) to 1INT (one of the most ridiculous INTs of all time).

 

He ranks 6th in the country in total QBR and has completed ~~76%~~ 66% of his passes throwing for over 1k yards in just 4 games. He is also the only non-RB in the country ranked in the top 30 in total rushing yards.

 

I think it’s a large enough sample size to start giving him some serious credit. He’s playing like the best QB in the B1G right now and has a legitimate claim to best DT QB in the country. I’m not sure what exactly has clicked but boy has it been pretty to watch. That ball thrown to Omar yesterday was the most beautiful ball I’ve ever seen him throw. I’m so happy for him. Keep it up 2AM.
