Every week I spam my friend at 3 in the morning when I’m drunk and watching football games. He doesn’t enjoy it at all – probably because he has a good job, a wife and 5 kids. I’m sure I wake them up with my idiocy. However his loss is your gain, Husker fans! I’ve submitted below my take on the game message by message. There are no replies because the poor bastard is sleeping.

I watch the full game. I like to see failed plays and not just highlights. I have archived them since 2016. Do I wish I had the games from like…90-2000? Yes. But 2016 is when I started preserving our cherished losing history.

I see two flags that should have been called on us but otherwise they’re little flags. Much better. I don’t necessarily credit our O-line, rather their D-line got tired. I’d like to see this continue in the future. Probably wono’t have any thing to say in the 2nd half.
* How come their players have no names on their jerseys? Oh yeah. It’s a CIA school. (look it up!)

* Kokosoulis(sp) had a nice run after a cool reverse option.

* That interception was surprising. GJ Williams. Looks like he dislocated his shoulder or forearm and then a teammate tried to pull him up from his shoulder. His hand clearly said…that ain’t gonna work bro.

* Super seniors are 6th year seniors. i didn’t know this. When they were seniors in high school, the freshmen were in 8th grade.
* So this is how our offense is supposed to work when their D-line is gassed and our O-line dominates. Looks good. Their guy Greenhaven is pretty incredible.

* Like it or not, Martinez has records for most yards per game and 3-year captain. His throwing motion looked a lot better but a lot were still air balls. Very good darts, the ones he threw.

I, like all of you, thinks Martinez needs some magic QB coaching to fix a lot of his errors. I remember he never even played since a Junior in HS when he started? Something similar. I think that most likely contributed a lot to his professional errors with us. He essentially had to re-learn how to be a QB under duress the whole time. No excuses after 4 years but I think the boy needs a break every now and then.
He gives good interviews! He reminds me of Tommy Armstrong, a litte. Every pass by Tommy was a hail mary. But damnit, he tried his best.
