Oregon brought the biggest crowd in program history to Matthew Knight Arena. Nebraska needed three sets to send it home. The No. 1 Huskers swept the No. 12 Ducks 25-13, 25-16, 25-20 Saturday night in Eugene in front of a sold-out, school-record 12,364.

Nebraska is 24-0 overall and 13-0 in the Big Ten. Per Nebraska Athletics, it is the eighth 24-0 start in program history. Oregon fell to 19-4 and 10-3.

How it happened

The first set was over early. Nebraska jumped out 7-1, led 15-7 at the media timeout on a Virginia Adriano kill and hit .531 in the set with 19 kills and two errors on 32 swings. Bergen Reilly put it away with a kill of her own.

The second set had two 7-0 runs. The first, capped by a Teraya Sigler kill, made it 8-2. Oregon got within 12-9 before the second run pushed it to 19-9. Nebraska hit .350 in the set and held the Ducks to .095.

Oregon pushed back in the third. Alanah Clemente’s back-to-back kills gave the Ducks an 11-10 lead, and Nebraska led only 15-14 at the media timeout. The Huskers then scored four straight to go up 20-15, and Andi Jackson ended the match on her ninth kill.
