Nebraska’s women get their second home game Saturday, Nov. 7, when Western Illinois visits Pinnacle Bank Arena at 2 p.m. CT on B1G+.
What the opener showed
The defense traveled. Nebraska forced 32 San Jose State turnovers Monday, won the glass 44-31 and took 74 shots to the Spartans’ 45 in an 81-54 win.
Britt Prince scored a game-high 23 on 9-of-15 shooting with eight rebounds, four steals and four assists. Amiah Hargrove added 15 points and nine rebounds. Natalie Potts, in her first regular-season game since an injury on Nov. 19, 2024, scored 14 with six rebounds and three steals in 20 minutes.
What to clean up
The shooting. Nebraska hit 40.5 percent from the floor and 7 of 29 from three, and San Jose State shot 6 of 12 from deep. Western Illinois is a chance to turn all those extra possessions into cleaner looks before the schedule gets heavier.
