Nebraska volleyball is 23-0 and still No. 1. The last road trip of the regular season is the one people have circled since August (Nebraska volleyball schedule).
The weekend
- Saturday, Nov. 7: at Oregon, Matthew Knight Arena, Eugene, 9 p.m. CT.
- Sunday, Nov. 8: at No. 18 Washington, Alaska Airlines Arena, Seattle, 5:30 p.m. CT.
That is two matches in two cities in under 24 hours, with a late Saturday start. Check huskers.com for TV and stream details for each match.
Why this trip matters
Oregon has been a steady program for years and has wins over Minnesota, Purdue and Michigan State this fall. Washington just beat Wisconsin in Madison and also owns wins over Purdue and Michigan State. HuskerCorner called this the most likely spot for a regular-season loss, and picked Washington as the tougher out (HuskerCorner).
What to watch
Nebraska’s last match was a four-set win at No. 25 Michigan State that started with a dropped first set (21-25) and ended 25-12. Bergen Reilly was named Big Ten Setter of the Week off that weekend. Harper Murray, Andi Jackson, Reilly and Laney Choboy are all seniors chasing one more title, and this is the kind of weekend that sets the tone for the Big Ten Tournament in Fishers.
Then home
The Huskers come back to the Devaney Center for Illinois on Thursday, Nov. 12, at 6 p.m. CT, then Senior Day against Iowa on Nov. 14 and Minnesota on Nov. 17.
