Nothing changed at the top. Nebraska volleyball is No. 1 again in the AVCA Division I poll released Monday, Nov. 2, with all 63 first-place votes and 1,575 points at 23-0 (AVCA poll via NCAA.com). The top five held from last week: Nebraska, Pittsburgh, Louisville, Florida and SMU (AVCA).

Reilly’s 16th

Senior setter Bergen Reilly was named Big Ten Setter of the Week on Monday. It is her third this season and the 16th weekly award of her career, tied for third all-time in the conference (Nebraska Athletics).

  • Nebraska hit .380 across the wins at Michigan and No. 25 Michigan State, best in the Big Ten and second nationally for the week.
  • Reilly averaged 12.88 assists per set, tops in the Big Ten and fifth nationally, with five service aces.
  • At Michigan: a season-high 58 assists, nine digs and two aces as Nebraska hit .412.
  • At Michigan State: 45 assists, a career-high six blocks, five digs and two kills.

Reilly, from Sioux Falls, S.D., also won the award Aug. 31 and Oct. 12. Our weekly awards tally has every Husker honor through Oct. 26.

Ranked teams on the trip

This weekend’s West Coast swing gets harder in the new poll. Oregon is No. 12 at 19-3 and Washington moved up two spots to No. 18 at 17-4. Michigan State, which Nebraska beat Saturday, fell out of the Top 25.

Big Ten teams in the poll: No. 1 Nebraska, No. 7 Wisconsin, No. 11 Penn State, No. 12 Oregon, No. 14 Purdue, No. 18 Washington, No. 19 Minnesota and No. T-21 Indiana. Illinois, Nebraska’s Nov. 12 home opponent, is receiving votes.

Nebraska plays at Oregon on Saturday, Nov. 7, and at Washington on Sunday, Nov. 8.
