2018 NFL Draft: Nebraska Quarterback Tanner Lee Goes to the Jacksonville Jaguars With the 203rd Pick

You didn’t think he’d get picked, did you?

Nebraska quarterback Tanner Lee got drafted as the 203rd pick of the 2018 NFL draft, going in the sixth round to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Lee saves Nebraska’s streak of having a player taken in the draft. The streak started in 1962, and now continues for its 56th year.

Lee is the first Big Ten quarterback taken, and the 10th overall.

Lee transferred to Nebraska from Tulane, then sat out a year before starting every game in the 2017 season. He threw for 3,143 yards, 23 touchdowns and 16 interceptions. The 3,143 yards were good enough to finish third in a single season in passing yardage in Husker history and Lee owns two of the top ten games with the most passing yardage. Lee threw for 431 against Purdue, and 399 against Penn State.
