More than 100 fall sport athletes for Nebraska were honored by the Big Ten Thursday.
That should ready STUDENT-athletes, which is something the 114 Huskers take seriously, as is evident by being named Academic All-Big Ten.
The sports included in the total are football (62), men’s cross country (10), women’s cross country (17), women’s soccer(15), and volleyball (10). Honorees are those with cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher who are in at least their second academic year at their institution.
Among the 60 Big Ten student-athletes with perfect GPAs were four from Nebraska: Garrett Hustedt, Football; Abby Heffner, Women’s Cross Country; Margaret Pollard, Women’s Cross Country; Hannah Young, Women’s Soccer.
