10th opponent

Given that we have to add an extra Big Ten opponent, I looked to see who the most likely team would be.

Since we play everyone in our division, and have 4 home games and 5 road games in conference, the most likely addition is a team from the East that has 5 home games and 4 road games. Those teams are:

Michigan

Michigan State

Maryland

Indiana

We play Michigan in Lincoln next year, so it probably won’t be them.

We played Indiana at home last year, so not them.

We played Maryland on the road last year, and we play Michigan State on the road next year.

This leads me to think our added conference game will be with Sparty or Maryland in Lincoln.
