The last time Nebraska volleyball lost a regular-season match, it was Nov. 29, 2024, at Penn State. Since then: 54 straight wins, the longest regular-season streak in program history in the NCAA era, according to Nebraska’s weekend notes.

That streak goes on the line twice this weekend. No. 1 Nebraska (23-0, 12-0 Big Ten) plays at No. 12 Oregon Saturday at 9 p.m. CT on BTN, then at No. 18 Washington Sunday at 5:30 p.m. CT on FS1.

Road warriors

  • 25 straight wins in road and neutral-site matches, 11th-longest in NCAA history and the longest nationally since UNI won 29 straight in 2010-11.
  • This is the first time since 2021 Nebraska has played three straight ranked opponents in true road matches, after last week’s win at No. 25 Michigan State.
  • Nebraska’s average road crowd of 8,195 would rank second nationally.

The series

Nebraska leads Oregon 8-3 all time and has won the last two meetings since the Ducks knocked the Huskers out in the 2022 regional semifinal. Against Washington, Nebraska is 8-2 and has won six straight since a 2010 regional semifinal loss.

Why it keeps happening

  • Nebraska leads the country in hitting percentage (.337) and opponent hitting percentage (.110). The +.227 margin is the only one in the country above +.200.
  • Nebraska is 69-0 this season, and 165-0 under Dani Busboom Kelly, in sets where it reaches 20 points first.
  • Busboom Kelly is 22-1 against ranked teams at Nebraska, including 9-0 this season.
  • Andi Jackson leads the Big Ten at .468 hitting. Manaia Ogbechie is fifth at .449 and third in blocks per set (1.34).
  • Bergen Reilly has 4,478 assists, 1,120 digs and 236 blocks, the only Husker ever with 4,000 assists, 1,000 digs and 200 blocks.
  • Virginia Adriano has double-digit kills in four of the last five matches, including a career-high 14 at Michigan.

Nebraska has also opened 23-0 in back-to-back seasons for the first time since 2005-06. Two more ranked road tests stand between the Huskers and 25-0.
