Michigan State on Sep 26 is still TBA on huskers.com at verify. Soft-open’s September frame fails if it invents a network or kickoff to look complete. The literacy move is to show the TBA cell plainly beside locked Sep 12 / Sep 19 windows.
Multi-sport September overlap (pointer only)
Volleyball’s Missouri date at Wrigley (Sep 6) sits inside the same calendar weekend as football’s opener aftermath. Soft-open’s football ledger does not absorb volleyball results. Season-guides readers get pointers, not blended fake scores.
How editors should date-stamp the ledger
Every scored claim in September soft-open drafts should carry:
- The URL (huskers.com schedule or
/4246) - The verify date (2026-09-05 for this unlock)
- A clear separation between Overall and Conf. cells
If a later fetch changes a cell, update last_verified and the ledger table in the same pass — do not leave stale 0–0 opener language in place beside a live 1–0 schedule.
