HuskersToday is written by fans, for fans, and we hold ourselves to a straightforward set of standards.
Independence
HuskersToday is independent. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the University of Nebraska or Nebraska Athletics. Team names and marks belong to their owners. Nebraska Athletics has no say in what we cover or how we cover it.
Sourcing and attribution
When we report something another outlet broke, we say so and link to it. We name our sources whenever we can. When we report a rumor or something unconfirmed, we label it that way. We keep news and opinion clearly separated so you know which one you’re reading.
Bylines
Articles carry the name of the writer, either Jamie Cole or our Huskers Today staff byline.
Images
We use photos with proper credit. When we don’t have a suitable photo, we may use an AI-generated image to fill the gap. Those images are always credited as AI-generated, and we never use them to show a real event or a real person as if it happened.
Corrections
When we get something wrong, we fix it and note the change. See our Corrections page, or reach us through the Contact form.
