Pujado Earns Big Ten Honor



Theresa Pujado was named Nebraska’s Big Ten Sportsmanship Award Honoree on Wednesday as the conference announced the 2020-21 women’s soccer individual awards and All-Big Ten teams.

The senior played every game for the Huskers this season and earned a spot in the starting lineup in the team’s final three matches. Amassing 528 minutes on the pitch this year, Pujado played a season-high 93 minutes in the double-overtime draw against then-ranked No. 19 Rutgers. She added two shots on the year. 

In four seasons at Nebraska, the Harrisburg, S.D. native has played in 63 games for the Huskers, including 31 starts. She has scored three goals for her career and added two assists to bring her career point total to eight. Overall, she has played over 3,000 minutes for Nebraska.

The Huskers finished the conference-only 2020-21 season 2-5-3 overall. With a 0.90 points per game average, the team finished eleventh overall in the conference standings.
