Noah Vedral Granted Eligibility Immediately by NCAA

According to the Husker Sports Network, the NCAA has granted Nebraska’s request that UCF quarterback transfer Noah Vedral can waive the mandated year transfers must sit out after leaving one FBS program to another.

Nebraska submitted the request to the NCAA after Tristan Gebbia transferred to Oregon State in early September.

Vedral, a sophomore, left UCF to join Scott Frost with the Huskers, after spending a year as backup to McKenzie Milton. Vedral is originally from Nebraska, having played high school football at Bishop Neumann. The Huskers did not offer Vedral a scholarship out of high school, however.

Three other members of Vedral’s family have played football for Nebraska.  His father, Mike, was a tight end in the early 1990s. He also had a pair of uncles who played for the Huskers, Jon and Mark, as a tight end and linebacker respectively.

Vedral enjoyed a lot of success as a high school Athlete. Besides taking home the class C-1 title in Football, Vedral also won three basketball state titles with Bishop Neumann.
