Wowser! What a performance!

Nebraska quarterback Adrian Martinez was named co-Big Ten Freshman of the Week. He shared the honor with Purdue’s Rondale Moore.

Moore was a big part of the Boilermaker’s big upset of Ohio State, having 252 all-purpose yards. He had 12 receptions for 170 yards and two touchdowns, returned three kicks for 49 yards, two rushes for 24, and a punt return for nine yards. That’s quite an all-around performance.

Our guy Adrian, however, went 25-for-29 passing for 276 yards and three touchdowns. He rushed for 125 yards and a touchdown, bringing his total output to 401 yards. He set a record for best completion percentage in a game with a minimum of 20 attempts; the previous record was by Dave Humm and it stood for 44 years!!!!
