Nebraska Completes Play In Texas



Lubbock, Texas —The Nebraska women’s tennis team wrapped up competition at the 15K Texas Tech ITF on Tuesday. 
 
Freshman Jillian Roa went 0-1 in both singles and doubles play this weekend. The sophomore doubles team of Isabel Adrover Gallego and Kristina Novak went 0-1 overall. Novak had a successful weekend in singles play going 2-1 overall, and Adrover Gallego went 0-1 in singles play. Vivien Sandberg also competed in both doubles and singles going 1-1 in singles play and partnering with Roa to record a 0-1 record in doubles play. 

Up next, Nebraska hits the road for the seven-day ITA All-American Tournament in Charleston, S.C., Oct. 4-10.

Alicia Linana (BU) def. Vivien Sandbeg (NEB) 6-0, 6-3

Helena Narmont (TCU) def. Kristina Novak (NEB) 1-6,7-6 (4),10-5 

Doubles:

Kononova/Williford (UNT) def. Adrover Gallego/Novak (NEB) 7-5, 6-3

Kanapatskaya/Orpana def. Sandberg/Roa (NEB) 6-3, 6-2

Day 2 Results:

Singles:

Vivien Sandberg (NEB) def. Emma Lella 6-4, 6-3

Krsitina Novak (NEB) def. Pita Maria Bentes De Oliveria Pinto 6-2, 6-3

Ivana Corely def. Isabel Adrover Gallego (NEB) 6-1, 6-2
