Nebraska Basketball: Nebraska 80 Northwood 62

Huskers come back to beat the Timberwolves in the second half

Exhibition games are meant to get the cobwebs out before the regular season starts and that’s just what Nebraska did in their 80-62 win against the Division II Northwood University Timberwolves.

The big red was without three of their top players as Anton Gill, Glynn Watson Jr., and Isaiah Roby sat out the game. Watson sat out with an irritated bursa sac in his knee. Gill sat out with a sore hip and knee while Roby sat to rest an injured finger.

All three were missed early on as Nebraska came out flat with the Timberwolves leading for a good portion of the first half. The Huskers were only up by two and the end of the first with a score of 35-33.
