Huskers Welcome Two Recruits – University of Nebraska

The Nebraska men’s tennis team bolstered its ranks when Head Coach Sean Maymi announced the signing of Rudra Dixit and Dario Huber.

“We are really excited to add these two guys along with Roni to next year’s team,” Maymi said. “We can’t wait to get them on campus and start working with them. We feel Rudra’s best tennis is yet to come and Dario will provide some valuable experience to our current team.”

Dixit, a native of Olathe, Kan., and transfer from the University of Iowa, joins the team with three years of eligibility remaining. Rudra brings success and experience to the team with a 16-and-under Missouri Valley top-10 ranking, an 18-and-under Missouri Valley top-3 ranking and an 18-and-under UTSA top-125 national ranking.

Joining Dixit for the 2021-22 season is graduate transfer from Fresno State, Dario Huber. Originally hailing from Brittnau, Switzerland, Huber spent his previous college years at the University of Indianapolis, where he was the Midwestern single and double champion, and Fresno State. While at the University of Indianapolis, he and his partner won the 2019 Intercollegiate Tennis Association Cup, that same year they held the No. 1 ranking nationally in Division II.  Dario was a Division II All-American in both singles and doubles in the 2019-2020 season.
