Huskers Prepare for Road Contest at Kansas State

The Nebraska women’s tennis team is set to travel to Manhattan, Kan., to take on Kansas State on Wednesday, March 4that 12:30 p.m. at the Mike Goss Tennis Stadium.

NU is coming off a dominant 6-1 win over Wichita State at the Dillon Tennis Center on Saturday, Feb. 29. 

Scouting Kansas State

With a 7-4 record on the year, K-State has knocked off Penn State, Arizona and SMU but is 0-2 against ranked opponents. The Wildcats are coming off a 4-1 win over SMU at home.

In 2019, K-State was 13-11 overall and 8-3 on their home courts. The Wildcats advanced to the second round of the Big 12 tournament after a 4-0 win over West Virginia but fell to Oklahoma State in the quarterfinal. 

Historically, Nebraska leads the series 34-13. In 2019, the Wildcats defeated Nebraska 4-1 at the Dillon Tennis Center.

  •  On Wednesday, NU will seek to earn its fourth win over a team that they fell to in 2019. So far, Nebraska has beaten Air Force, Iowa State, and Wichita State, all teams they lost to last season.
