Huskers Prepare for ITA All-American Tournament



The Nebraska men’s tennis team travels to Tulsa this weekend to compete at the ITA All-American Tournament. Tulsa University will host the tournament with six Huskers set to make the trip for the Pre-Qualification Tournament.

All six Nebraska players will be competiting in singles only, with pre-qualification play spanning from Oct. 1-3. 

Senior Dario Huber will make his fall debut after not participating in the first two tournaments. The Brittnau, Switzerland native previously played for Fresno State and Indianapolis before tranferring to Nebraska as a graduate student. Fellow senior Brandon Perez will also be making his debut as he will look to prove himself as a top singles competitior for the Huskers.

Seniors William Gleason and Patrick Cacciatore will also make the trip down to Tulsa. Cacciatore is unbeaten so far this fall boasting a 3-0 singles record, while Gleason holds a 3-3 singles record while competiting primarily out of the No. 1 spot. Sophomore Rudra Dixit is also undefeated after jumping out to a 3-0 record in the Oklahoma State Invite. Junior Shunya Maruyama is 2-1 on the season after a good showing at the OSU Invite.
