Huskers Complete Day Three In Norman



Norman,Okla., — The Nebraska women’s tennis team completed its third day of play at the 15k Oklahoma ITF competing in both singles and doubles. 
 
In the first match of the day, sophomores Kristina Novak and Isabel Adrover Gallego defeated the University of Oklahoma’s Dana Guzman/Emma Staker 6-3, 6-4 in doubles play. They will compete tomorrow morning in the quarterfinals. 
 
Vivien Sandberg had her first singles match of the tournament today, facing Kianah Motosono from University of Oklahoma, but fell short in two sets 4-6, 5-7. 
 
Play will resume tomorrow morning when Novak/Adrover Galllego taking the court in doubles play.

Novak/Adrover Gallego (NEB) def. Guzman/Staker(OU) 6-3, 6-4

Day 2:

Singles:

Mia Kupres def. Novak (NEB) 6-2, 6-4

Adrover Gallego(NEB) def. Tamara Barad Itzhaki 7-5, 6-3, 6-1

 

Doubles: 

Schaefbauer/Williford def. Rogozinska Dzik (Poland)/Sandberg (NEB) 6-1, 6-4

Day 1:

Singles: 

Novak (NEB) def. Susana L. Alcaraz 6-1, 6-2
