Frosted Flakes: Olympics, Artificial Hearts, and Brinicles

Football is almost here! Fall camp starts later this week for the Huskers. It will be here before you know it.

What are your thoughts about this season?

I think I have finally accepted just how bad some parts of this program had gotten. I also think I have typed that in my preseason observations the past two years and then went on to talk myself into how much progress has been made.

By Year Four of the Scott Frost regime, we were supposed to see a team that is playing mosly upperclassmen and an offense that was operating lightning fast. While there are more upperclassmen likely to start than in years past, we are instead watching a coach remake his offensive philosophy to stand up to the Big Ten. Instead of hurry up offense, we got hurry up flags and turnovers. Hopefully, we get a breakthrough in that area.

I’ve resigned myself to hoping for bowl eligibility.

You can remind me of that when I grab the Kool Aid and predict 8-4 in our preseason predictions roundtable.
