Frost Talks Culture and Injuries

From the Hawks Championship Center Thursday afternoon, head coach Scott Frost spoke to the media.

Frost continued his trend of praising his team’s practice work ethic, claiming that the Huskers practiced “better this week than last week again.”

Frost believes there’s room for improvement, but ever since the Husker’s played the Boilermakers, things have changed for the better.

“I’ve said this before, but ever since the Purdue game, I feel like the culture on the team finally is pointed in the right direction and moving in the right direction,” Frost said.

According to Frost, it was the senior captains – Luke Gifford, Gerald Foster, Stanley Morgan Jr., and Mick Stoltenberg – who helped and “made sure to hold everyone accountable.”

While Stoltenberg is still providing valuable leadership to the team, he’s still nursing an injury. Frost didn’t give a specific timetable for his return, but did say that Stoltenberg was “close.”

Also out injured, is linebacker Tyrin Ferguson. Frost again didn’t get into specifics, but he did say “[Ferguson] looks a lot better this week.”

The Huskers will host Minnesota this Saturday. Kickoff is set for 2:30.
