Former Husker Wins Title at Red Bull USA Basketball 3X Nationals

Former Nebraska basketball player Steffon Bradford earned another honor in his professional career over the weekend, as his 3Ball Omaha team won the Red Bull USA Basketball 3X Nationals in Springfield, Mass.

Bradford, who played for the Huskers from 1999-2001, teamed with Trey Bardsley, Dylan Travis and Klaye Rowe to win the 16-team event, which took place at the Basketball Hall of Fame.  The team, which earned its place by winning a spot last August in Omaha, went a perfect 6-0 over the two days of competition, winning the title game with a 21-20 win over Harlem.  Following his Husker playing days, Bradford played professionally for 17 years, including nine years in France.

A new season of Red Bull 3X will kick off July 10 in partnership with USA Basketball. Twenty men’s and women’s qualifier tournaments around the country, plus four regional championship events, will help identify a new pipeline of 3×3 talent who have a goal of competing in the Red Bull USA Basketball 3X Nationals.
