Adrian Martinez Practiced Monday

It’s been a frustrating few weeks for the Huskers. After getting their home opener cancelled, Nebraska has lost two games in a row, making that their worse start since 1957.

However, things could be looking up for the Huskers now that Adrian Martinez is able to practice again. The explosive true freshman gave Colorado all it could handle before he went down with a knee injury late in the 4th quarter.

Martinez rushed for over 100 yards through the air and on the ground, scoring three total touchdowns until he sustained his injury against the Buffaloes. “We need him for the rest of this year and the rest of his career,” head coach Scott Frost said Monday.

Whether or not Martinez will play on Saturday, has not been decided as of yet. Martinez’s status will continue to be monitored throughout the week.

Nebraska will take on the Michigan Wolverines this upcoming Saturday. Kickoff is set for 11 a.m. Pregame coverage beings at six o’ clock, right here on 1400, KLIN.
