VIDEO: UNL Cather and Pound Halls Destroyed In Controlled Implosion


Within minutes..two UNL dorms came tumbling down in Friday morning’s implosion.

Campus Housing Director Sue Gildersleeve says it would have been cost prohibitive to bring the dorms up to modern standards so it is best they come down now.

The twin, 13 story residence halls opened to UNL students in 1963.
