South Lincoln House Fire Sends One To Hospital

Lincoln Fire and Rescue was called to the area of 27th and Norman around 3AM on reports of house fire. Fire Battalion Chief Jim Bopp tells KLIN news the two occupants has already evacuated with their dog by the time crews arrived.

Chief Bopp says the fire was easily contained and was mostly restricted to the deck area of the home though some smoke did make its way inside.

Our news partners at Channel 8 report one occupant was transferred to a hospital for smoke inhalation but is not believed to be in danger. The other resident was treated on the scene with non-life threatening injuries.. Chief Bopp says the occupants’ dog suffered no injuries.

Chief Bopp puts early damage estiamtes at around $40,000 dollars.
