Nebraska’s Tim Miles And (Faux) Bo Pelini Discuss Recruiting Players Through Their Cats

The recruitment of high school athletes is a constantly evolving activity. In mid-May, Rice received a commitment from a three-star quarterback, J.T. Granato, who pledged to the Owls after co-offensive coordinator Billy Lynch wrote a letter to his cat.
Is this a concept that Tim Miles would consider? The Nebraska men’s basketball coach discussed the creative idea with @FauxPelini earlier Friday.

@CoachMiles You should try it — most cats can’t read so I usually leave voice mails

@FauxPelini …. Hoops & kitties don’t work. Need junkyard dogs!!!

Well, there you have it. If you’re a high school basketball player being recruited by the Huskers, and you have a dog, your pet will probably be receiving a letter from Miles in the future.
