Nebraska Baseball Series Preview: Wichita State

Huskers return to Midwest to face Shockers

After a 2-2 showing in the Big Ten/Pac-12 Challenge, Nebraska returns to the Midwest to play their first three game set of the year at Wichita State. The Shockers who finished 28-30 last season are 6-0 this season with sweeps of both McNeese State and Omaha.

Wichita State has been headlined by a pair of Preseason All-Americans in Alec Bohm and Greyson Jenista. Bohm is hitting .550 this season with six of his eleven hits going for extra bases. Jenista has only hit .273, but leads the Shockers with four home runs.

The trio of weekend starting pitchers for the Shockers has fared well in the early season, with Codi Heuer, Liam Eddy, and Connor Lungwitz having a collective ERA of 3.48.
