Lancaster County Board Questions Stebbing’s Expenses

The Lancaster County Board is expressing concerns over the state auditor’s findings regarding potentially unlawful reimbursements made to Lancaster County’s Treasurer.

 

Deputy Chief Administrative Officer Ann Ames tells KLIN News that they are investigating questionable reimbursements for mileage and travel costs made to Treasure Andy Stebbing.

Ames says that the board is also in the process of strengthening the county’s reimbursement policies.

Stebbing has also been accused of selling vehicles as a business without a dealer’s license, falsifying bills of sale and filing fraudulent state income taxes.

In response, Stebbing tells KLIN’s Coby Mach on Drive Time Lincoln in his time in the role, no one ever asked for more detail.Stebbing maintains that including all the details of his travel, including daily tasks, is inefficiant but would be happy to do so in the future.
