Huskers bowling team to be featured on HBO’s “Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel”

HBO’s “Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel” is set to do a feature on the Nebraska women’s bowling team this week. The show will air on Tuesday at 9 p.m. central exclusively on HBO.

The Huskers are the only women’s bowling program to reach the NCAA tournament every year since bowling became an official NCAA sport in 2003.

Coach Bill Straub has led Nebraska to five national titles during that time.

Straub was voted National Tenpin Coaches Association Division I Coach of the Year this month, and has received the honor four times in his career.

The Huskers fell short to McKendree in the national semifinals in St. Louis on April 13. The Huskers finished the season with a head-to-head record of 100-14.
