Huskers Advance to NCAA Finals

Chicago – The Nebraska men’s gymnastics team advanced to the NCAA finals for the second year in a row after a third-place finish at the NCAA Qualifiers on Friday afternoon. It’s the first time since 1995 that the Huskers have advanced to the team finals for two consecutive years. Nebraska finished behind Stanford (407.390) and Minnesota (404. 758) in the first of two qualifying sessions. Michigan (400.590), Navy (390.921) and Air Force (385.688) also competed in the session, but will not advance to the team finals. Session two is set for tonight at 6 p.m. and will feature Oklahoma, Illinois, Ohio State, Penn State, Iowa and California. The top three in that session will also advance to the team finals, which will take place on Saturday, April 21, at 6 p.m.
