Frosted Flakes: No Complaints As USA Hockey Takes Olympic Gold, Creighton in Trouble?

It was a very fun sportsin late night with USA women’s hockey, and.. is Creighton basketball in trouble?

Every Olympics we are treated to a barrage of coverage complaining about whatever is happening at that particular Olympics. When the Olympics were in Rio a couple years ago we heard about a green pool, and there was constant complaining right before the Olympics that the venues wouldn’t be ready in time for the games. Most of the complaints ended up being unfounded, but they did set a tone for the games that was rather negative before they even started.

It seems that the Olympics have become, for some, nothing but a reason to have their complaints heard across the globe. Yesterday I read an editorial piece in the Wall Street Journal that the games are too long. The sports are spread across too many days. The poor guys who wrote the piece must be forced at gunpoint to watch endless curling matches without beer.

There are complaints that are constant with every Olympics. The venues aren’t filled with spectators for every sport. It’s too cold, windy, snowy, icy, or too hot because of climate change and it melts the ice in your gin and tonic way too quickly to be enjoyable, even though you’re sitting on your own deck in Omaha watching the games on a Samsung tablet.
