Former Husker quarterback Tanner Lee reportedly visiting Falcons

Former Nebraska quarterback Tanner Lee is reportedly taking a visit to the Atlanta Falcons before the NFL Draft at the end of this month.

The Falcons have a veteran starter under center in Matt Ryan, who’s piled up 41,796 yards and 260 touchdowns with Atlanta in his ten-year career.

Ryan’s backup however is 36-year-old Matt Schaub, who will turn 37 in June. Schaub has only started two games since the 2014 season began.

Lee completed 57.5 percent of his passes in 2017 for Nebraska, throwing for 3,143 yards, 23 touchdowns and 16 interceptions.

He finished his three-year college career with a 55.2 completion percentage, 6,744 passing yards, 46 touchdowns and 37 interceptions.

The NFL Draft begins Thursday, April 26 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX. The second and third round begin April 27 with rounds 4-7 on April 28.
